I was thinking more along the line of generic 1920s-1950s track bike parts, stems, pedals, bars, etc. The Schwinn catalog pages would be a great place to start. I would guess that there are enough fixie/SS enthusiasts who would like to make their traditional steel frame rides look even more vintage, even if the parts are brand new.

Stan, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that chrome frame the 1938 Paramount prototype, SN #1(c)?
I dare say a reasonable facsimile of a Dural front hub could be had from a Schwinn ballooner (though steel, not aluminum), and that Paramount crankarm is rather similar to some of the steel Stronglight and Nevar doubles made in the 1960's and 1970's.
It can be done.

I need a left Paramount crank arm if anyone has one lying around...
I think Schwinn copied Airlite hubs. My other Paramount track, with a Cinelli stayer stem:

I can't read it either, but I think it's A?38. When I get the frame and strip the paint from the BB shell, I'll probably be able to decipher it better.

The serial number is A853. The other number on the BB shell is 1235. Weight of the 23" frame alone (no fork, no headset) is 4.87 pounds. The fork is drilled.
Underneath that sloppy paint job, it's in pretty amazing shape. There are no dents and only very minor surface rust.

Yes; Tam Phan's registry suggests 1939+...

Stan,
Do you notice the other number emerging in the paint? I can see what appears to be;
"G 2 ? ? H"
This stamping is between the other sets of stampings.

Bob, I didn't notice it until you pointed it out. Thanks. I'll see if I can clean that part of the BB shell better and maybe bring out the characters. It's not stamped as deeply into the shell as the serial number or the 1235. There's also a character in front of the 1235 that looks like a D followed by a centered o. I don't have a clue whether there's any real significance to that.

Tam Phan's early Paramount registry. There are five pages; s/n A854 (one number higher than mine) is on page 2.

I took Pastor Bob's advice and have been collecting the vintage pista parts for this Paramount. The frameset has been at Waterford for a period correct paint job since August 2, so when I get it back I'll have these bits to build it up with. None are actually correct for the bike, but they should look OK on it and will be functional.
Here's the stem and handlebars mounted on my '72 Paramount for the photo. Both are new manufacture.
Campy Record pista crankset or "chainset" with a N.O.S. Campy Record 50T chainring:
Campy Record high flange pista hubs. I'll lace them to a pair of Mavic Montlhery tubular rims I picked up on eBay.
I can't wait to get the frameset back from Waterford.

Well, I am STOKED!
Richard Schwinn e-mailed me these snapshots this morning. The frameset is out of the paint shop and ready to ship, and I've accumulated all the parts needed to make it ridable.
