Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Grrrr. It took a little negotiation with the wife to clear the morning ride and, as I was gearing up, it started to drizzle. Cold, but not quite freezing, with precip is the worst - it's that cold that really soaks in to your bones.

Undecided if I'll continue or ride a little later.

We have been having rain here in LA but I woke up this morning and the roads were dry. Yeah it was 37F but: dry. So I decided to get out on the TT bike in the wild, in between things. Did 3 x 10 at 100%.

It was cold and quiet and dark. Not much traffic.

I heard a noise rustle off on the side of the road. Looked over and it was a huge owl, flapping slowly from a fence post to the top of a street lamp.

That is all.

So I am basically I am now the only person who comes to the Philly office regularly. I have this all to myself, but I noticed today that the Purell has an expiration date of 3/2019.

Why do you want to leave the old one? You're currently leading.

P.S. I just left

Management just took away complimentary coffee for health and safety concerns.

The machinists are in an uproar. I'm only kind of kidding.

Ever do group rides with the club out there? It's based out of an lbs and their rides are always fun. They might be on hold right now, though.

I am shocked, shocked to hear you don’t have a home INR gizmo. Similar to glucometer, prick your finger, drop of blood on the strip, and INR given in a minute. Ask for one. Do it now and thank me later.
