Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My mother in law's neighbor is an ER nurse at Saint Joseph. My mother in law ran into her walking the dog and offered to make some masks. ER nurse originally said no, but then hunted her down and took her up on it. Mother in law has made 15 masks so far.

It's not too hard once you learn how to fill a bobbin and thread things properly. I learned in 8th grade Home Ec and retained most of what I've learned. I've done repairs and made pillow cases for the wife in the past, etc, but our antique Singer got moved to the basement when we needed more room for the kids on the main floor. If we could get our hands on something capable of sewing leather, I'd be really interested to take it up again.

Travel? I read that as a slip of the tongue. It has nothing to do with traveling, just trying to unclog the cycling threads.

I really wish they had released the new Xbox before this. I’m sure they do too, and I’m sure this put a real pretty dent in the schedule.

Didn’t know that. I needed to upgrade to log on to my desktop at work. We have Office there, and my employer is going to ship me a printer. So as long as I stay employed, I’m good.

Mrs. rjones28 updated her iMac to Catalina, in preparation for doing more remote work. Turns out the remote desktop she needs to use is not available for 64bit O/S. So, that's out.

I'm on my last edition (Office 2019) of purchased Office software. I did have to subscribe to Adobe this time though.

I just went to the isolation ward. There's too many random threads there.

I'm just thinking that USC might provide more immediate opportunities to get into trouble, but that would be more typical and 'harmless' college trouble, whereas the City could potentially provide a completely different level of trouble altogether...
