Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cervelo’s “aero vibration dampening” seat post is one thing holding it back.

Once that happens, and the stem is down a tad more, definitely hot.

Nice bike, but agree. Not a fan of the seatpost, and I'm trying to remember if the cable need to have that much of a loop going into the top tube.

What stem and saddle?
When I look at the picture I see a bike with handle bars floating in front of the bike and saddle rails with no saddle.

+1. I had to enlarge the pic to see the saddle.

It just struck me as Cubist in a way. I'm sure it's a great bike.

It's OK. I was scared off from getting a TCR, but i will probably end up swapping out for one.

My old focus was a more aggressive geometry. Whilst this is a dream to cruise around on, i want something more direct in the descents again.

Here's my new Cervelo R3 Disc build. The out-front mount isn't removable, so this is it in full ready-to-ride mode with rear light/radar, front light/camera, computer, tool roll, etc. Still need to trim the steerer nub now that I have the fit where it needs to be.

Overall, very well put-together, and looks like a really nice bike. Especially tidy job with routing the cables along the side of the stem so that they don't stick up and come in to the silhouette

Those Ultegra hydros are just never hot though.

Super tight seat-tube tire clearance makes up for some of the transgressions, though.

Ultegra (or Ultegra level) levers have never been bulbous like that. Those would be either RS505 (11 speed, 105 level) or RS405 (10 speed, Tiagra level). I have 505s on the gravel bike. They work nicely and the knobs actually provide a nice, sure grip when you're on the hoods (at least for my hands)... but they ugly.

Ha. Yup. RS685 are considered Ultegra level and then there are the R8000-series - that's it for mechanical, hydro Ultegra thus far.
