Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I think you might want to take a good, hard look at who was posting about wanting to ride gravel...as well as today's date...

Kudos on your ride, though Sounds fun!

Again, low hanging fruit. It also reminded me of a bus trip, in Guatemala, during the depths of the civil war. Seven bridges in a row had detours as a result of having been blown up.

Does she like sports? Because NYU sports are pretty lousy, if that helps. Although if she wants to be a film major, I doubt she could care less.

I started that thread. Should have known better. People seem to lose their minds (both for and against) when a certain brand is mentioned. My intentions were pure though, I swear.

It's not for everyone. But if you are really into it, almost nothing else will suffice.

It's actually a pretty good place to ride.

Ha, exactly. Not to start another side (and possibly controversial) conversation, but with all these big name fools having degrees from the most prestigious universities in the US, clearly through means other than merit, how can anyone take this stuff seriously anymore?

Seeing other places is always a good idea. Even better when you can manage to leave the country in the process.

But doesn't USC have a campus? That's the point. At NYU, you are "in" the city no matter what. And sure, that area of the city is fine, but there is still more than enough trouble for an 18 year old to find. And I'm not talking about getting mugged or some random, violent crime.

I've seen that site a few times, and it looks totally fine to me. I'd certainly buy from them. Italian e-commerce has come a long way over the past five or so years.

There were still fabric covered planes being used in WW2, perhaps the most romantic period in aviation (despite the whole war and death aspect). It's not exactly ancient...

You could buy yourself a brand new tube and fabric, open cockpit Waco YMF-5 or Great Lakes, if you wanted.

But you'd have to be 100+ years old to have worked constructing them.
