Burley trailer "Flex" Hitch: How flexy?
I got a Burley trailer Flex Connector hitch "dog bone" "rubber" replacement from Amazon for an older trailer with no prior Hitch element.
It the one I got is as hard as a rock with no flexibility
Should this not be a twistable and rather flexible piece?
It was rather expensive at $25 and I am discovering this past the time where I could return it
I've also heard people making replacements from old tires and I wonder if anyone has had experience with this.
Burley lists this as a three – five year replacement and I wonder if I may have just been sent old stock.
Thanks

Mine is hard plastic. I bet yours is too.
Fwiw, I try to keep the bike standing when parked but it has tipped over. It's never broken or flipped the trailer so it must flex a little.
That connection has a little squeak and I can't shut it up.

Try it. I think you'll find it works. A really "soft" part can stretch many times its length, this thing only has to twist a quarter turn if you lay the bike down.
