is it possible for me to hide my cables more than this?
first off, apologies for this being the third thread in which i've posted a picture of my bike today.
i'm currently having trouble getting the BMC Impec off my mind (it's made by robots! i don't have 8 grand!), so i'm toying with upgrades to my current bike that i love.
as you can see, i have standard ergo bars, Rival setup with the cables routed under the tape, which is nice. I'm considering switching to a traditional bend handlebar, since im starting to find the ergo bend a little annoying in the drops.
can you recommend a handlebar with a traditional bend that will make it possible for even more cable hiding?

I have my Rival cabling set up just like that (with the chift cables on the rear of the bar) and I don't see any other way of cleaning up more. Are you doing the criss-cross configuration on your shifter cables? I did on mine, less bends and they don't make contact with the head tube as much.

my bike was a bit of a weird situation - i had limited funds, couldn't afford the $3800 full price. shop was trying to clear out inventory, told me they'd swap the Red for Rival and make the price more reasonable. to me, it made sense - better frame, cheaper components that are, as far as i have read, not that much worse than Red. i've been very happy with the bike, just trying to improve it here and there as i go.

folks, i am not brain damaged. i get it. and although i'm sure we're all very impressed that he is not personally concerned with cable routing, (1) that doesn't mean i can't be, and (2) i do ride the bike, every day, rain or shine, 5AM.
so anyone who isn't interested in the topic should just *not reply,* rather than get all sanctimonious. if nobody cared about cable routing, there wouldn't be handlebars that offer internal cable routing.

Where else do you think you can hide them?

i wouldn't change the bars just for that. i'm thinking of changing the bars bc the ergo grips bother me, which got me thinking about cable routing on the new ones.

It doesn't. The OP wants to change bars so since he is buying new bars he wants to know if there is a set that could possibly hide the cables more. I posted the Deda bars because they have a rear groove as well as a front groove. Beyond that the only thing would be internal routing. I think the only classic curve bar with dual grooves is the Deda 215 but Ritchey might make one as well.

+1. unless if you route the cables through the stem & into the frame, it ain't gonna matter
if you want traditional (as i infer from you post, a ritchey wcs classic, a 3t rotundo, or something similar), you ain't gonna find one with internal routing. fsa offers internal routing, but they offer nothing with a traditional bend.
besides, the cables are routed incorrectly: the sram shifters have an option for routing to the front or rear of the handlebar, and yours is routed to the rear then cut back to the front. this is a lousy setup. you should have no problem routing both the brake & derailleur cables to the front of the handlebar
