NOS Cervelo Super Prodigy at an LBS... Yea? Nay?
Never built, probably hasn't sold in the past five years because of its 1" head tube and a small ding about the size of a ballpoint pen tip in a seatstay. Special edition Team CSC colors -- red with nickel head tube and stays. Measured at my size. And, I've got the parts for it.

go for it
since it's steel a small ding is mostly likely not a structural fault
it's not like carbon that explodes if you look at it wrong *runs out of thread*

I envy people that can find such sweet rides in their fram size. The 60 61 cm is rare.

It's definitely sexy. I keep eyeballing some BMCs at another shop, but this thing sure is purdy.
What I'm looking for is something that rides more pleasantly than my CAAD8. The CAAD is tons of fun when I'm riding as hard as I can, and I can tolerate its ride quality fairly well (I think it's actually nicer than a Langster that I'll likely sell, which rides more like a truck). But, I've been thinking of bikes like the Synapse, Look 566, [insert brand here] Roubaix, and others that are designed to not beat up the rider on crappy surfaces.
My only reservations about this SP are whether it's TOO nice to park somewhere (on the other hand, I like seeing nice bikes getting used instead of posing under glass), and whether it'll behave well under a big guy like myself.

If I ever found one NOS in my size, I wouldn't be asking questions about it.
I'd already have it half built.

I'd hit that.

The more I read about the frame, the more guilty I feel about having a mixed Shimano group ready for use (DA shifters, Ultegra derailleurs, 105 brakes).. lol
Maybe I could sell those parts and a couple bikes for an alloy Campy group.

Even I know better than that...
FWIW, here's the parts I have on standby: EC70 bars, Easton stems (snagged a bunch to try out different lengths/angles), DA shifters (7800, I think), Ultegra 6600 derailleurs (lucked out and already got a braze-on FD, too), 105 brakes (uh.. black..), R700 crank, DA BB, EA90SL wheels, Red 11-26, Brooks Swift, some extra CB Quattro pedals, ... and I think that's it. Fork, seatpost and headset TBD.
Like I said earlier, I kinda think this frame deserves something prettier and more, I don't know, "conceptually focused" than a mish-mash of Shimano parts. Not that I think the parts suck -- I spent where it mattered, and scrimped where it didn't, so I think I came out well -- but I'd like the parts to look as nice as the frame.

That's as fine a set-up as you could have, but if you wanted less of a mish-mash, if you could find a pre-'09 Centaur group, I think that would look and work outstandingly well.
