That was hilarious. At one point I found myself saying "USE FLAT SPRINGS!" and then I remembered... D'oh! It's not supposed to be sensible. Just go with it.

I can't decide whether his hoverbike project is more fun than terrifying or more terrifying than fun. But apparently he survived intact for more ridiculous projects.

Not for the faint of heart or the brittle boned, but I can easily see it becoming a BMX fad.

All the better for massaging their chins with their knees.

Who'd have thought... a bike that sacrifices the bicycle's inherent advantage of being more efficient than walking.

Does he always wear the same attire? That adds to the whole effect.

I'm passing this on to Frank The Welder. I hope he enjoys it.

He just hasn't taken his design to its logical conclusion. You keep getting stiffer and stiffer springs - and what do you end up with? Tubing.

It is funny watching him ride that squiggly thing.

I've never seen him without his "junior accountant" uniform on.

One of the best of his videos is when he fills a cabrio BMW with water and drives around. You just can't watch it without grinning.

Actually when he gets his final set of springs he mentions the only thing stiffer would be... tubes! hahaha

Funny you posted this, I just discovered this guy's account. I've watched about 6 or 7 of the videos so far. He is a genius, both comedically and in his projects. LOTS of bicycle related videos. Check out the one where he chops an old Raleigh MTB in half and makes a longtail to hold 1000 fireworks. He launches them while riding the bike. It's great.

I've figured out that he's an old BMX-head, which is the where the proclivity toward bike projects comes from. He references flatland in one of the videos.

Now I've watched a few of colinfurze's videos. He makes me laugh hard. There's a lot to like. He's smart and crazy and has a good sense of humor. He provides so much fun for himself, and that makes me laugh.

My concern is what can get caught in the top tube spring while mounting or dismounting the bike?

How'd it go in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid?

Oh yeah, "Rules? They're no Rules in a knife fight."

Every guy who ever sat through this scene knows what follows next.
