Colnago never made a touring bike, as far as I know
I have been searching for a fork since I discovered my chrome fork does not have enough room for my stack. Then I found this one for sale. Oddly it has what appears to be very well done braised on mounts for racks, and or lights.
These are not rivets. It looks good in the chrome looks decent.
Other than the obvious of some Framebuilder, going to all the expense effort, is it possible this was factory?
Older style crown with panto. 1970-78?

It looks like it has the minimal curve and lack of dropout eyelets typical of a racing fork.

Rob,
I would lean toward a factory item that was a special request. or a special order for a rider that wanted fenders. The 1973 that just left here had all of the hallmarks of a production model, pinned seat tube, upside down seat tube etc. So the extra eyelets appear to be something you would not find in the production area of the shop. My guess is a custom build by request. Smiles, MH

That has better chrome than anything Italian ever had.
Save yourself and just buy this. The owner has some misconceptions and has been trying to flip it for a couple years.

I see the fender holes but aren't those a second set (mid fork mounts) there that the op is referencing?

Newbie
The Gentleman Sport and Lady Sport pics that I've seen were all later sloped crown forks and just had the lower set for fenders. Documentation of the models that didn't get exported is pretty hard to find especially earlier stuff. Possibly from an earlier Italian market bike..

Rob,
Buy the fork, put it on the tandem, and install dual halogen head lamps in the mid braze ons. Smiles, MH
