Need advice on 14-28t cassette
Hi everyone! I recently got a Cannondale Supersix Evo HiMod with 11-28t cassette. Since I'm having a hard time getting the sweet spot on 52/19 and or 52/21, I'd plan to get the 14-28t ultegra as it has 20t.
My worry is that the 14t cog might not fit perfectly on the bike as its teeth might touch with the chainstay. Anyone has tried it yet?
TIA!

Sorry can't help you with your question, but don't let the 1x people see this... They'll lose their minds over this 1 tooth spacing problem you're having lol!

For junior gearing requirements, I have that cassette on my son's roadbike.
His is an older six six and the 14t fits without issue.

I find the wind is a big influencer on my gear choice.

Why not pull the cassette off, take the 14 tooth and move it to the bottom of the cassette and then put it back on the wheel and put the wheel in? You won't be able to screw on the lock ring but you should be able to push it on and get an idea of whether or not it will strike the chain stay.

I'm in the same boat running between 21 and 19. I actually didn't even know they made a 14-28t, but I'm going to make the switch very soon to gain the 20 and 18. Thanks for the post and good luck with your upgrade.
