I just took delivery, via USPS, of a pair of “returned” Sidi Defender 20 shoes, and the Tecno-type buckle is missing the retaining pin. (Yep, probably return fraud, with the seller either not noticing, or not caring.) Before I start the headache of returning the shoes, it seemed that should see if finding a suitable replacement pin is feasible. These pins are not listed as available, as a separate order-able part, from Sidi or their authorized dealers, but perhaps this would be a common size of pin, available from a source other than the Sidi network?

Normally, I like supporting my local dealer, but there are few brick & mortar Sidi dealers, with anything in stock, these days, and then there is the pandemic. So, I ordered on-line. I appreciate any information or ideas.

Update: I have learned that these Sidi retaing pins are not simply long cylinders, but complex, like the pins that hold a watchband onto a watch.
