Anybody else having trouble posting here?

It seems anytime I submit something that's any longer than a few lines, I get "hung up" while the bottom of the screen reads "Waiting for www.bikeforums.net."

Anyone else?

I'm already sick and tired of the Office Depot add that refuses to close and covers the entire page. Very effective advertising ... for "Staples".

Sometimes BF is incredibly slow.
Sometimes I think it fails to keep its anti-virus up-to-date.
Sometimes ... I just don't visit for long periods.

Maybe it's trying to tell me to stop wasting time chatting about bicycling and get out there and actually ride?

That was an issue for me on any browser that doesn't have AdBlocker enabled. There were a few ads that just didn't load. I'd have to refresh to recycle to a different ad so that it would load.

I know the ads pay for the website, but I don't like being tracked. And I'm realistic, I'm being tracked anyway. But when I search for something and I get an ad that somehow combines biking, beer-making and playing the piano all in one, I know they are watching. I'm still being tracked but I don't see the ads.

I'm not talking about ads. My posts just don't get posted if they are more than 2-3 sentences.

Possibly browser related ?.

What are you using and maybe just go get Chrome or try IE as a test to see if it's the browser ?.

Probably because they are parsing your post so they can target you!! "Hey Dad, how about some fence posts for hanging your bike, stores conveniently located on Long Island".

I haven't had any posting issues.
