Not sure what @badger1 experienced, but for me I had relatively sudden onset. I woke up with what felt like a charlie horse in my left calf, but I stretched and wrote it off as sleeping on it funny. I ended up hopping on the trainer after work yesterday and within a minute or two my left calf felt as if it were cramping, and after touching it it became clear it was swollen and hard. I looked at it in the mirror and it was reddish and visibly larger than my other calf. I rested overnight and it felt ok this morning but of course I tried riding again and it became immediately swollen and quite painful, so I've been icing it since.
I sincerely hope it's some sort of muscle issue rather than DVT, but you never know.

At any rate, all the best to you with this, and hope things soon take a turn for the better generally!

Adam Sandler movie being filmed around the corner from my office. Chances of me ever seeing it are low.

Well I'll tell you what, cowpokes, we have 200% post hurricane humidity the likes of which I haven't experienced in awhile. I had to put a skullcap on just to keep the cascades off my glasses. Putting screws in their previous holes with a drill driver. Not a sweat inducing activity.

We will spend the morning putting the roof back together. Specifically the solar water heater. We are both in need of a shower and a cold shower at 70° is not something we look forward to.

Maybe you could get a 'salty pretzels' type line, if you were to sidle up.

For Day 12 and UP 4012, we are back to a locomotive that survived the torch, and is even getting some more TLC at Steamtown National Historic Site as I write this. Here is one of the most epic pictures of the Big Boys in service that I know of.
"Westbound freight train, fine smoke & steam effect; 45 cars, 40 MPH. Photographed: at Riview, Wyo., November 29, 1941." Otto C. Perry collection once again, Denver Public Library.

Strava says Trsnrtr is riding in the Volunteer State but not in the proper part.
Missed opportunity.

Wow. Ultrasound showed a large clot in my left femoral vein from above my knee all the way to my foot, so it was exactly what I suspected/feared. I guess I'm getting good at this self-diagnostics game. Doc sent me home and I'll have to get some bloodwork done before going on whatever the blood thinner of choice is theses days. Does this get me an automatic pass to the C&V forum with all these health issues?

Unfortunately, we also have a toddler, so when the pandemic started I ended up burning through a lot of my paid leave/sick time just dealing with childcare issues and a stomach bug. By the time I got Covid myself, I only had 3 or 4 days of time off left for the year, and since I had to quarantine alone with my daughter, I wasn't able to work for 2 weeks while watching her, even though I felt well enough to do my job after just a few days of the illness.
Thank you, corporate lobbyists, for ensuring the profitability of my employer was protected during these challenging times!

If you have good insurance you can take Xarelto or Eliquis.
