Trek SU100 - vintage yet?

I picked up a Trek SU100 from CL in February. It's 11-12 years old and there are some threads about it here in Commuting from that time.

It's had some odd part swaps along the way-- there is a Specialized Stout crankset and front hub, and a 7sp freewheel in the rear-- but I really like this bike. The 26x1.95s give it a definite old-school MTB feel all over town.

Does anyone else still have one?

Looks like a great bike. I’ve had plenty of mtb’s with a similar setup, but much much older...wouldn’t call this one vintage yet...keep riding. Time will catch up!

That looks like an ideal commuter (for anybody that wants a flatbar)

I have found I am somewhat more comfortable on flats in town. Trekking bars might be nice, too, but I'd need a looooong stem.

But the best thing about it is that I can leave the luggage in the office and hit the trails in Carolina North Forest at lunch. Yay for 26x1.95 commuting tires.
