Larger Tires on Road Bike >>>>>>>>
Anyone ever fit larger tires on a 2002 Diamondback Expert? 700c wheels.
I commute 22 miles round trip daily, all on roads and bikeways, no gravel. Just want a slightly softer ride.

looks like they come new w 23mm tires, is that correct? I'd be surprised if you couldn't fit 25mm tires

If they come with 23c's you can definitely fit 25c's on it. Many road bikes will fit 28mm but not all.
The best rolling tires (as in most comfortable ride) I've used are Specialized Roubaix Pro Tires:

It's funny though, I googled your bike, and immediately ran into reviews saying the ride was to harsh for even the most casual rider so...good luck.

Sometimes I'll buy a 28mm in that situation, and try it front and back. if it doesn't fit in back, it almost certainly will in the front. If it does fit in back, I know I can run two of them.
Interestingly my 28mm tires range from 27 - 31mm depending on tire and wheel. That and oddly my 25mm and 28mm tires are often the same size (26-27mm). Go figure.

How large are you willing to go? You might find this interesting even if you aren't ready to follow their lead: https://janheine.wordpress.com/2018/...should-i-ride/
