My awesome office manager was kind enough to have her husband and card-carrying carpenter hang a bike hanger in my office!

Won't those white-veneered MDF surfaces get quite dirty? And, assuming the US, won't you get scratches/holes in the plasterboard?
Also, that plasterboard doesn't looked skimmed either, sorry for the lack of texture in your office, would drive me nuts.

That is really cool! But I would advocate some kind of drip tray. Do they make long/narrow drip trays for skis maybe? (or bicycles even?)

the dryall is textured and I let the bike dry before hanging on wet days (not many in sunny Eastern Washington).

I'm glad you're happy though as different strokes for different folks and happy new year.

I work in IT. My bike is against the wall in my cube unless it's too wet/snowy/muddy, in which case it goes in the stairwell downstairs. My boss did give me crap for tracking road salt all the way to my cube once.

understandable, oh well. I used to work for a cyclist. we had a loading dock & I was able to bring my snowy bike in there to drip dry on cardboard. miss that place & that guy. haven't worked there since Fall 2010 & sadly, he passed away September 2018

I never really thought about it - I don't have clients in my office. In the ultra-rare case clients are on-site we meet in one of the conference rooms. Since I am in the financial statement auditing practice, I travel to my client's sites rather than vice versa. We wear jeans and 1/2 zips almost every day, and I assure you my bike is fairly clean most days and does not smell at all

Do you keep it in an enclosed space like a small office? Or it is usually an in open area when you undertake that analysis?

Nope. Nope Nope. Chain is waxed :-)
What are you guys doing to your bikes to impregnate them with offensive odors? I am sure my saddle doesn't smell terrific, up close, if you have a dog's olfactory senses.... but other than that??
That said, I once put a new bottom bracket in my brother's bike, loaded it up to take it home to work on it and the whole thing smelled liked weed!

Hot wax/odorless paraffin is my chain lube. Other than that the trace amounts of grease in the BB, hubs and headset give no noticeable odor.
See my reply to acidfast - I wouldn't want to smell my saddle up close but that's just weird. I wouldn't do that nor would I expect my visitors to.
