^^^^ Yeah, based on the livery, I estimated it to be a '71-'72-ish.

So is anybody in Rockford coming up to Madison for the swap next month? I'd gladly pay you to facilitate and bring it with.

Seller in VA Beach just pushed an offer of $95 BIN for this Prestige-tubed Performance. https://www.ebay.com/itm/174123849769

Tricolor group on it is worth that alone.

I just came home with it. I thought it was going to be a Grand Sports but it's a Competition, even better. Zeus Criterium rd, Zeus fd, crankset and shifters, Brooks seat and a Milremo stem. Handlebars look like the GB bars on my Grand Sports. Wheels are not original, and are not qr. Rear is destroyed from him hitting it with his car. Not too bad for 20 bucks.

I saw the cl ad earlier today but couldn't get up there till this evening. I'm 50 miles south of Rockford. I wish it was a size larger though but it will be ok.
He said they're all his brother's bikes, and he used to race them. They were all in nice shape but this one was the only one I was interested in. He didn't even know what make it was and I didn't offer any info about it other than I was interested because I used to have one like that years ago. I couldn't get it on my car quick enough.
The paint is in great shape and will clean up nicely. I can't read the Brooks but I think it says B15 although none of my B15s have the holes along the edge. This ones pretty much used up.

Here's the rear wheel. Just needs a little adjustment. 😄

Actually, I'd be tempted to try to de-taco that. And at least it's a fresh looking tire.

BTW is that Ryobi tool an LED light? How do you like it?

That tire is completely dried and cracked. The bikes were all kept outside. It's a steel wheel, non quick release so it's been replaced. I've got a new unbuilt set from Velo Orange I may build for this bike using an nos set of Miche Competition hubs i have.
The light is a Ryobi led. I like it because I can use the batteries that fit all my Ryobi tools. It's very bright.

Here's something you don't see every day:

Quite spendy though, with an $800 ask. Probably no need to rush your offer.

This is, by far, the most detailed ad I've seen for a damaged $100 Univega.

"Papa" has some toys. That UTV doesn't look cheap, and background right, that's an old SuperBee.

Mike, that one belongs in the 'wacky world of ebay/CL' thread.

And as for this ... Maybe it's just the vibe that taco is giving with the angle of the pic, but I would take a minute to string around this and measure it, then throw a dropout alignment tool on it just to be sure. Looks like the rear triangle may be tweaked a few mm towards one side

I looked at the older thread. I purchased a Tourmalet last month that I determined, from catalogues, is a 2001. I would say it is an ok price. It definitely has issues. The Sora group is low quality, but it looks like mostly the original Tiagra, which is certainly a step up. The paint is in pretty bad shape. How much money do you want to invest in repairs and replacement? Cables, chain, brake pads and tires would most definitely need replaced. I think the bottom bracket could have issues. The drivetrain is really dirty and cannot tell for sure, but they may not have much life left. The wheels also look like they need worked on. I might offer $100 knowing I would have to invest a fair amount of time and, at the least, a couple hundred dollars. The dollars part could be considerable more. Just my opinion from pictures. They are nice frames and it could be a real nice rider.
