This thread desperately needs new pictures.
I don't usually commute by bike, but as my car needed a service today in a shop not too far from my office, I threw the bike nearest to the door in the trunk. It happened to be my latest Eroica bike, a sixties' Jacques Anquetil. So my co-workers got an intimate peek into my private life today.
Parked it in the office, next to the (empty) coat rack. Thought that was an appropriate spot:

Day 2 (three actually):
I'm taking turns riding some of my bikes to work this week. Today chose a SS I worked on last winter. Originally a Vulcan 10speed.

Now it's under the Gas Pipe Brand.

This was actually Day 1:
Not really C&V as an early 90's Trek 700 Multi Track but I give it honorary status for being a step thru stem shifter and my regular all season commuter.

@non-fixie, I hope you included PowerPoint. Nothing like slides of exploded view diagrams to keep them riveted.

Most of them didn't know who or what Brian Eno was, though. The philistines.

Bridgestone XO-3 at lunch. Built this out of the parts bin a few years ago and it's still working.

In the old Rehab locker room. Several of us park in there, though only one other is in there this morning.

This one isn't exactly vintage, but close enough. This was my first "real" bike, and I have ridden it in a number of different forms, but it had been collecting dust for a long time now. At some point last year I decided to pare down my bike stable, so it got a new fork, bars, thumbies, wheels, and tires, and new life as my utility bike. Will get fenders eventually. Studded tires in the winter. Maybe a front basket. Etc.

I've spent 30 years kicking the streets as motorcycle cop, special intervention units, night shift patrol, I've been attacked with ax, machete, bottle, stones, even bitten. Now 52 years old I serve night shift in a municipal shelter for homeless where there are hardly security problems. This is somekind of pre-retirement.My bike rests in a dry and warm room while I'm on duty.
Oops! There is a workroom with a lot of tools

I hate that I can't commute to work. The inbound highway has a shoulder half the width of a razor's edge and it has rumble strips. To compensate, I keep a bike in my office and am able to get in 10-12 miles a few times a week after work by riding through the industrial park and out to a 64,000 acre flood control lake. My current office steed is a Torelli Super Strada. Sorry no pics.
