Hi from Manitoba

Just wanted to say Hi! I've spent some time reading and wow, what a great source of information about everything bike related!
I am someone who has always had a bike, just never really got much use out of it. Picked up a used road bike and put some time on outside last fall, and on the trainer over winter. Hoping to pick up a better fitting bike now that summer is here!

Welcome to bike forums. You may be able to get the fit of your existing bike working for you with changes to the stem, seat post and bars. Although buying another bike is always good.

Thanks! In this case the bike is a size to big (I've swapped the stem - world of a difference), crappy components, tight SOH, and an out of true front wheel (that may have been me). It was a very inexpensive pick-up primarily for on the trainer. I wanted to see if this was something I enjoyed and wanted to do more of. The reward is a new bike for me

Hi Jwls...welcome to the forum. I have a sister in law and her husband who live in Dauphin Manitoba. I live in Texas, but hope to get up there at some point. I have spent quite a bit of time (also met and married my wife) in British Columbia. Big difference between the roads (and scenery) there as opposed to here in Texas.

Thanks for the welcome! It really is a small world - Dauphin is a little over 3 hours (driving) from me.
