Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

2010 - yes.
2009 - no.

I've got it set up to my bike nerd liking now aside from race wheels. Once those are glued and ready to go I'll weigh the race setup. I'm pumped about finally owning a sub-20lb bike!

This is my Cross racer as well as my commuter/trainer/bad weather bike. I built mine from the frame up with the left over Dura Ace 7700 from my road bike after I switched it over to 7900. The first half of this year I rode this bike more than my road bike.

how is your fit on that bike. I dont have all the details, but that negative saddle to handlebar drop, and the extremely low seat indicate that that bike may not fit you too well.

The new cross bike. Finished putting it together two days ago, taking it to its first race on Sunday. Excited.

Sweet Rock Lobster.

I think I've posted this before, but my Van Dessel warrants a new picture, as I am now racing, and it's set up as such.

Van Dessel Hole Shot
Rival Group
FSA Cockpit
Thomson post
Frogglegs brakes
Ultegra/OP with Vittoria XN clinchers (have also ordered a pair of XG for muddier terrain)

Just got the Cross Check finished this evening. Running the single speed setup this season. Maybe next season I'll be able to get some dough together for some gears. BTW, sorry for the crappy cell phone pic.

Ok here ya go:

Custom steel, currently single speed, in "final" build form. "Final" in quotes because, lets face it, a bike is always in progress.

I'm very excited. It will be built up with some leftover Ultegra 10 speed, a Thomson post, Regal saddle and maybe Paul Neo Retro brakes, but I'm not sure.
A Mavic M40/DuraAce 7600 wheelset will compelte the ensemble, with a pair of Velocity Escape/Miche wheels being built now.

Thanks! I've always wanted a Guerciotti, so when I saw a bunch of them on eBay from Ital-Tecno, and none of the bike companies that supply the shop I work at had any CX bikes, I bought it really quickly.
It was $579 + free shipping. There are still a ton of them on there across the whole CX model line of Guerciotti.

It doesn't seem to be too heavy, I have a buddy that has one around 15lbs with carbon wheels. It certainly feels really good.

I got my Guerciotti yesterday. I still need to get the brakes, post, dog fang, and tires for it, then I need to decide whether I put my leftover Force on it, or my leftover 6700.
I know that country of manufacture isn't important, but that "Made in Italy" decal is pretty cool.

That pic reminds me of my long-time lust for that frame in THAT color. Very cool.
