Can someone help me identify this Litespeed Tuscany.......
Hey everyone,
I purchased an older model Tuscany and was wondering if anyone could give me any insight on which year model it may be? I've always wanted a Ti bike and just happened across this one on Ebay.

Based on the components I would put it as a late 90's early 2000's bike. I Could be wrong but the OS tubing and so fork and midling components don't look very high end ti to me. I would put the value at $400-500 if everything works good and the brifters wheels tries are in good shape..

I'll second zukahn1's dating of late 90's/early 2000's. Not all the Litespeed catalogs from that era are available online, but if you're looking for an exact year, I'd start with the double taper head tube; that seems to be the most distinguishing feature.

Prices are in the dump but I don't think there are many (if any) decent Ti bikes out there in the $500 range. You probably won't get many responses here, older steel is the specialty.

If anyone else has a $500 Litespeed going, let me know!
[edit] Oh, I see it now - you paid /more than $500 - yes, I think you may have overpaid a little, but not by much. As a comparison, I bought a '97 Litespeed Catalyst frame off ebay, and built it w/a used Campy Veloce 10-speed groupset & new Campy Vento wheels, and the total cost was just under what you paid.
You've got a great frame there, so enjoy it!

If anybody wanders into this thread - it's a 2005. I have one just like it.
For further confirmation you can go to Litespeed's website and order replacement decals for old bikes.

The dating you got here looks to be about right but you can actually reach out to Litespeed (look on their website for the e-mail address) with the serial number (it should be etched into the bottom bracket shell). I did that with a 97 Ultimate I bought last year.
It should be a much more than decent ride. I've been riding my 96 Classic since September 95 (not a typo) - it still gets most of my mileage every year.
