FS: Pinarello Record/Treviso Fram/Fork/Headset
For sale, an early 80s (according to the seller) Pinarello Record (or Treviso) frameset in Columbus SL tubing. The extra set of pantographs on the chainstay lugs matches catalog pictures of the Record model. When I bought this it was painted in rattlecan black. I stripped it to the chrome, which is not very shiny on the main tubes and would need some polishing if you wanted to keep it unpainted. There's some paint overspray in the various lugs which suggests this was originally painted in Alexi Grewal Olympic colors, which would suggest this is 84 or later. There are still flecks of black paint that I didnt clean off, and some light rust here and there that I didnt clean off (tin foil and WD-40 is great for removing rust from chrome). There are larger areas of lost chrome where the seat stays meet the seat lug but the chrome is otherwise solid. Size, as shown in the photos, is around 54cm C-T. Head tube is 12cm. Includes Campagnolo Record headset in fair shape - there's some pitting. You could probably press-out and rotate the races 90 or 180 and improve the performance a bit. Fork and frame numbers match. Fork has SLX spirals (which also suggests 84+). Fork has some loose "stuff" (presumably brazing leftovers) in one leg, which is not that unusual in these (50% in the 4 Pinarello forks I have of that vintage)
I bought it to build up into an Eroica bike but life intruded and now it's just mocking me when I go down to the basement. I'd rather someone local to avoid packing it, but I will ship it at your expense.
Asking $350

Pretty certain it's too small for me, but a TT measurement might be helpful to other prospective buyers. Nice photo documentation. GLWS.
