Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Coming up on 130k miles. Couple of big things in the last 30k -- turbo and fuel injectors.

I'll probably be replacing my fuel injectors sooner rather than later - sometimes idles roughly and it'll occasionally stall if it has lower octane in it - and I have some suspension work left to take care of, too.

It's a new snow tire year. Those Blizzaks are gonna be a little more than twice the price of a GP5000.

I'm going with something a little more aggressive, but still fairly quiet I think.

I feel like de-carbing the intake manifold should be SOP during the spark plug service on the TSi motors.

One place gets covered in snow in winter and the other is approximately the temperature of the surface of the sun in summer, seems like the locations fit the generally accepted criteria for snowbirding.

Are you saying it's like the quasi-north?

Sounds nice. Not to exercise in, probably, but I could enjoy going out in the shade and soaking in the life-sustaining warmth.

Flagstaff and Knoxville (both on I-40) are also both on the 35th latitude (barely), so maybe it does count as quasi-north.

I retract my previous statement. One can arguably snowbird from the quasi-north. I would consider it that if I split time with Florida.

NWS Flagstaff says the numbers aren’t official yet, as it can still snow into May at high elevations. However, between Oct. 1, 2022, to April 15, 2023, Flagstaff recorded just over 163 inches of snow compared to the average of 87 inches. Williams also saw staggering numbers, coming in at just under 140 inches, over twice the average of 63.3 inches.

So frontier changed our flight down to orlando back in July. In my experience, airlines use a 24 hour clock when expressing flight times. So 9 am is 9 am and 9 pm is 2100. Our flight was originally noon and then changed to 9 pm, however, my mistake I read it as 9 am which was actually a good thing. We were just going over our vacation and saw that it’s actually 942 pm and we don’t arrive til midnight. That’s a no go. Cost to change flights to the day prior? 150 bucks. So, because Frontier changed our flight which ****s with our plans, change flight 150, extra night at hotel 450, food 300, activity 630 dollars. Extra 1500 dollars in cost to us.

I know all airlines change flight schedules but to charge me for the inconvenience is complete bull ****.

What are you talking about?

Something does not make sense. AA pilot flying Frontier. July was two months ago. $630 daily activity fee for 2.5 people.

Sounds like delirium. Best get to a hospital!
