Hello from Georgia
Hello All, been lurking a little while and decided to join. At 45 I've decided to start biking to help me achieve better cardio health. I'm fairly active, I strength train 4 days a week but HATE cardio. I can get on my pawn shop camping bike and ride. So far it's been a challenge but I know I'll come along. I'm saving up my mad money in hope's that next season I can get a nicer bike. Anyway, just wanted to say hello.

Welcome to Bike Forums from a former Decatur resident, now retired and living in Florida. Whereabouts do you live?
Stop by the Southeast Regional subforum and say hello to the locals. We have quite a few GA folks. Maybe you can find someone to ride with. Have fun.

I live in Warner Robins, Cycling has a pretty strong base here and in Macon. As I get my legs and lungs going and as I progress I intend to join some of the local rides. I may however wait until I upgrade to a decent bike. I enjoy my pawn shop bike but I think I'd feel a little out of place on it on a ride. For now I think I'll stick to some5 to 10 mile neighborhood routes.
