Paired with a 20T cog on a Nexus 8, this bike would be geared all the way down to 20 gear-inches and up to 92 according to Sheldon's gear calculator.

Bulldogs2k - that's the 2012 Specialized Sirrus Limited model and it does have the same frame as the Roubaix and comes with a mostly Apex group set. I bought mine for $1680 at a yearned discount, so I am well pleased.

Anyone else notice the relative lack of Trek hybrids in this thread?
This is coming from a "Trek guy" who loves his 7.2. I also think Trek has some pretty spiffy and advanced looking road bikes and MTB's. But stock Trek hybrids are rather plain-Jane.

The new 7.7 FX is pretty spiffy looking, but it's really a flat bar road bike and not a hybrid.

I'd say the company which created the picture just didn't adjust the graphics to the correct size. It also appears that they forgot the levers etc unless it's a coaster brake(^-^)v
Edit...i can see now it is a coaster brake. The saddle is a Brooks so it shouldn't appear that small

Here's my Trek 7.4FX. Just this past week I gave up on the stock saddle, as it was like sitting on a brick and really took away from the enjoyment of riding. I put on a Bontrager Commuting Gel saddle and it is perfect. After 20 or 25 minutes I don't even notice the saddle. It's fairly light and inexpensive ($35).

THIS is a hybrid! A true mixture of road and mountain bike with seat-tube angle, wheels and bottom bracket height coming from road bikes and head-tube angle, handlebars, tubing and drivetrain coming from mountain bikes. Tire width and chainstays are right in between road and mountain bikes.
The hybrid category has evolved to be almost meaningless anymore, although a lot of different bikes are still called hybrids. Steel framed, 1990's hybrids define the category for me.

Here is my 2012 7.2FX with Disc brakes. I really dig the matte black with red accents. I haven't changed anything yet just added rack and fenders. I really am clueless so ill be researching on what to add or change.
