Simple pleasures

I should have bought one of these years ago. Motorcycles and Volvo’s, but I guess it took a bicycle to put me over the edge.

It's a handy tool; I have the same one, but with the long snout to reach into bottom brackets:

c'mon, it's much more exciting to smear a wad of grease over the area & blast it with 120 PSI from an air blaster. Lubricates the latex painted walls too!

They are great for bicycle repair and maintenance. I have a Harbor Freight gun and it works just as well as my more expensive one.

Just got the Park Tool version for the shop last month and love it, I may look into a longer nozzle option as shown in #2 of this thread.

I wonder if this would work on the Park Tool one

This one works perfectly with the Park Tool tubes of grease, just need to cut the nipple on the PPL-1 tubes down to the threads

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Gives an amazing level of control, can put very precise amounts where it is needed.

Just noticed Park Tool sells a relabeled version of the same device you just bought.

Yes it should. All of the variations on that Dualco grease gun use 1/8"NPT threads for the various nozzles. I home made an extension nozzle like the one shown from a 1/8"NPT Male to 1/8" tubing fitting and a 4" length of 1/8" copper tubing.

The advantage of the grease gun over the similar head that screws onto a 3ox grease tube it you can refill it from a lower cost bulk grease container.

The reason I bought the Dualco was it is stamped Made in USA on the bottom. I was under the impression Park tools are made overseas, plus the Dualco was slightly cheaper than the Park. The Dualco was $20.99 shipped on eBay.

Here's one of mine; the short nozzled one belongs in the toolbox. Both are Astro Pneumatic and have performed flawlessly since new (this one's three years old; the short nozzled one is eight).

Behold the variety of mini grease guns and accessories from Dualco: Dualco Push Type Grease Guns.

Check out the available accessories; pretty impressive.

I have one of their guns that mounts directly on a squeeze tube.
