Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Well except the part where he says, "...but won't worry about it filling our pipes and freezing while we sleep."

Finally completed the 'SST Short' workout on Zwift, in Erg mode. That was a bear. Interesting looking at HR and cadence over the workout. Cadence drops from 94 to 84, while HR rises from 140-165. Whew! Last 5 minutes, even at only 230w were hard. Erg mode is definitely relentless.

Took apart my RX100 hub and cleaned up the bits. The bearing look fine. The drive side cone looks fine. The non-drive side cone looks like this:

So, off to the Wheels Manufacturing webside I went, identified the correct cone, and found it on Amazon. Now I just have to wait till next week for it to arrive.

I hate waiting.

Received my 1st of 2 covid shots yesterday. I dont feel to bad this morning. Minor headache, like the beginings of a cold , sore arm @ the injection sight like with any injection. I get the second shot next month on St Patty's day. So I get to be sick and hung over the next day.(not really)

I had nothing but issues with zwift last night. 5 "virtual dropped chain" incidents the first 30 minute ride. That resulted in about an hour of fixing the lap top and downloading drivers to repair the internal blue tooth. Somehow the drivers were deleted in previous repair attempts.(operator error is my suspicion, based on my knowledge of the operator)
Now the internal blue tooth works, but has the little yellow triangle over the b.t. icon. I dont know what its trying to tell me. But it works. With or without the companion app running now. @ Least the squirrel hasn't come out to scold me about my settings.
2nd 30 minutes were flawless. 257 average watts, no chains dropped. Even with my back spasmed up was a good ride.

When I went to bed there was some snow on the deck. Now there's not.

It’s snowing here. I have had enough of winter now.

Updated forecast is 8-12 inches. Looks like I will be testing if the recent snowblower repair job worked.

Go back to bed. Maybe it'll melt while you sleep.

We are getting a mix. Snow early, but now it seems more like sleet.
