In order to bump this back into a more noticeable range and keep the theological (sic.) discussion going----

On Monday I'm traveling back from the lands of coastal plains and southern Piedmont to the glacier carved mountains of NH: Will I need studded tires? And who manufactures (not trades) in such unorthodox contrivances?
