I will be the first to admit that I'm a fair weather cyclist. The simple truth is that I detest the cold and snow. 60 degrees Fahrenheit is rock bottom for me. Anything colder than that, the pain far outweighs the pleasure.

Nice thing about a velomobile, I wear what I would wear on a normal bike down to about 40F. In the velo, I'm still comfortable down into single digits.

my new year most cold ride was at -1° and my setup was:
full summer equip with long sleeves+leggins , and underwear shirt plus sleeveless jacket and a kway. But i had to admit my foots and hands were a lot cold (used wrong pair of socks , and a too thin pair of gloves: if i had a pair of thermal socks and a good pair of gloves i was able to stay more in the freezing-cold with almost a snowy weater.

0°F or < -10°F wind-chill (stationary). Below that I worry about the little bit of exposed skin around my eyes. I have yet to find a good solution that both covers and doesn't frost over. Visorgogs do the best, but leave a decent area exposed, especially to crosswind.
Practically, this translates to about 2-3 days a year where I live in Ohio. My ride is about 30-35 minutes - total time makes a big difference after a while.

3c is pretty much as cold as I'll go. Anything below that I start to worry about black ice, frozen leaves, etc. Not to mention the possibility of getting cold feet. I absolutely hate cold feet.

45° F is as low as I'm willing to go, and only for 20 miles or less. Not willing to bundle up to put any kind of miles when it's that cold!
