@jbchybridrider
I suggest you create a new thread to get an ID on your bike. You'll get more eyes that way.

I have a stem like that one of my bikes and this is how the cable is run:
I could be wrong, but I don't think they had internal routing back then.
Edit: I think their bikes are the 1989 Trek 8000. Here is how it looks in the catalog:

I'd understand full internal routing, but they appear to only have internal routing for the front brake. You can see the other 3 cables in my screenshot.

This blue might be tough to match, it's a brilliant color but a matte finish.

New bike day! Mid-90s Jamis Exile, which I plan to use as my winter commuter with a few mods. 7-speed drivetrain works fine, as does everything else, I’d say. A lot lighter than the Specialized HardRock I used as a winter commuter some time back.

My Cinelli as she stands. I swapped the carradice bag for a basket that fits a couple boxes of beer today, also so the seat can go down and more people can ride it.
Might change a couple more things one day but it's pretty sweet.

I passed on an old school Rocky Mountain a few weeks ago. It was at a pawn shop, and looks like it was kept in a back bedroom and ridden a handful of times, if that. Lugged frame, high end components, etc. 19 inch frame though, and I ride a 22-23 inch.

This is the 2nd 1990 Diamond Back Apex I have picked up. This one is 1 size smaller than my last and is already destined for someone after I go through it.
The photo is as purchased.

I have lusted after an early 90's Kona Hot since the early 90's. I could not even afford to look at them back then.
