Not a rider, unless I get suckered into olde part auctions...

I have a frame coming - a basket case finish wise.
I don’t know how I am going to proceed.
this frame set is in much better shape.
I would clean and polish, do something for a head tube herald and admire.
I have another that I bought for my daughter
paint is coming back- chrome is French Tragic.

It was a "what the heck, I'll bid the minimum" on ebay thingy. My birth year serendipity thing.
Clean, polish, wax, install the small number of components that will display with it and hang!

Clean frame with potential. Funny as I had seen the listing and hoped someone here would score.
So it's some low model, but really nice riders with a good tubular wheelset. I wouldn't know how the smaller geometry stacks up though the 56+ cm are terrific and confident handling. You should be able to fit 700c x 32 width and various rubber for classic gravel path speedster.
As for your 'Special' model, the 1966 decal pretty much celebrates Rudy Altigs, World Championship and I think this model with decal started to appear in 1968/69 running through 1973. The top tube pair of flags were shown in 1970-73 brochures. Red or white paint with chrome. They also had a string of Tour victory's in the mid-late 60's. I'm a little fuzzy on this as its been quite some time last looked into them sourced from an Italian website with translation needed

It is definitely going to be the centerpiece of my living room art wall. I ride a 56-57 comfortably, so if I build it up, it will be a small gravel rider way down the line. In the meantime, it will be lovingly cleaned and admired on the wall.

Very nice, if I had been watching I probably would not have been able to resist either if it was the right size! What size is it? My problem is finding a 52cm (or better yet 51cm) frame, since I won't buy anything I can't at least theoretically ride.

It says it measures out at 55? Looks a little shy of that, but I'll measure when it arrives. It probably will eventually be built up, but with the bottom bracket, headset and pinch bolt present it was too much for me to resist.
