Gipiemme Crono Special Freewheel

Hi All,

I have this barely used GPM Crono Special freewheel that I want to list on Ebay, but don't really know what it should list for. I've searched around and noticed that it's a pretty rare item. Do any of you have a suggestion for pricing? I even have the original removal tool for it. It's pretty light at around 200-210 grams.

Can you tell what the material is? Steel, Aluminum, or Titanium?

Does a magnet stick to various parts of it?

Freewheels, like headsets , tend to lose quite a bit of their value, once they show any sign of use. Easily at least 30% off the price as what it would be if it was unused/NOS.
Full aluminum and aluminum cogged freewheels tend to be, sort of a "niche" item. Mainly weight weenie fans/collectors (most cyclists consider them too frail for regular, everyday use). They can sell for lot of money, but there's really not that big a market for them, compared to regular steel cogged freewheels, so there could be quite a wait to sell them, unless you discount them big time.
Brand new/NOS, the freewheel should have a market value of very close to or at 200 bucks, but in used condition, maybe half of that to get any kind of interest.
More popular brand aluminum freewheels like Campagnolo or aluminum cogged Regina America Superlegera and even the full aluminum freewheel from Maillard will sell for quite a bit more in most cases. Just not that many people looking for Gipiemme components for their bikes to start with. Gipiemme made/sold good stuff, but was always considered as second tier, compared to the "all mighty" Campagnolo.

Is this the OP's ad?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-80s...e/192817896731

I see there was another Gipiemme Crono Special Freewheel that didn't sell for $249 + Shipping (NOS?)
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Gipiemme-Cr...-/173729098546

The price is probably good. The trick is to add a few key words into the title. "Fits Campagnolo Hubs, Replaces Regina" "Aluminum" "Light" "Lightweight" "Weight Weenie" "Lighter than Titanium"

Have some fun with key words, but don't go overboard. I hate when "Colnago" picks up entirely unrelated stuff. Don't use "Cassette". Anybody searching for a cassette won't want a freewheel, or visa-versa, and if they're looking for high end stuff, they'll know the terms.

Ship to Europe/Japan?

Then just sit on it until it sells. I might remove the "Best Offer", or entertain a few offers > $100 (you can always counteroffer).

I wouldn't buy it but it will sell fairly easy for the asking price with matching nos Freewheel tool pictured nice freewheel and it's rare to see one with the matching tool that came with these new, the alloy was bit harder on these and they have real nice freewheel action.
