Suntour Tales on Outspoken Cyclist Podcast

I met Diane Jenks of Hubbub/Outspoken Cyclist at the Philly Bike Expo, and she posted some of my Suntour blather on this week's podcast. I've certainly had my fill of hearing myself drone on about this stuff, but if you're still interested you can check it out here:

Let me go download that now!

I've been listening to The Outspoken Cyclist for a few years or so and am impressed at the number of cycling luminaries that she interviews! You are in very good company!

Great interview Paul, details about that time have mostly been lost to us. I still ride a bike that I built up in 1987 using ST Superbe Pro components. The index derailleur was easy to set up, and to this day still shifts quick and accurate every time. The only problem I have shifting is forgetting that the shifting is on the down tube, not on the brakes like my other bikes, my problem ;-). I continue to be impressed by the quality and reliability of this group.

Really good interview! I could see a book in the future. There was just the right amount of technical info mixed with insider stories there. Very informative and entertaining at the same time.

Interesting, his description of when he realized Shimano got indexing right and Suntour was not there. I remember those days. The dark cloud was descending.

Golden nuggets of cycling history.

The anecdote regarding setting up Suntour vs Shimano rings true in my experience! LOL

Great stuff and thanks for sharing. I have been looking for a new cycling podcast and you helped me out.
