Can I patch these cuts on the tire?
I got these cuts on my front tire last night (Conti grand sport race 23c clincher). There were two cuts, one on the side wall in the middle, exposing the threads, and the longer one on the right. The inner tube was OK, I did not get any flat or leak. However I am worried that these cuts will cause a blowout later. Is there any preventive measure I can do (other than replacing the tire). Thx

the tires are really quite filthy and so i cannot really see any cuts. a cut on the sidewall is probably not worth your skin fixing. a blowout at high speed (turning) would not be pleasant.
my two cents.

If you can see the threads, toss it. The risk of a blowout and subsequent damage isn’t worth the low cost of a bicycle tire....

Booting a tire with sidewall cuts to avoid a long walk in cycling shoes? Sure. Doing that when you're home and a new tire is available? Naw.

I have run tires down to the threads from wear, not side wall damage, but I ride on 5-8' bike lanes that are routinely swept clean and maintained. I would not be comfortable on a high speed decline with a tight corner or rough road at the bottom with a damaged tire.
