Here's why I clean the Purina off of my bike when I get back from a ride...

That link is making red flags fly, but I think that I saw mention of that article last night. Yeah, a dog chewing though a seat stay is no good.

I give up. It was a story about a dog chewing through its owner's CF seat stay. There goes my attempt at a little humor.

I did a quick search and found it...ouch.
I just adopted a rescue dog, and from past bitter experience, I know not to leave them alone with anything until they grow out of the chewing phase.

No pictures, but one of my bitter experiences was coming home for lunch and finding my couch half eaten by my sweet lil' dog. I eventually repaired the couch and crate trained the dog.

Years ago, one of my dog friends, a Rottweiler mix puppy, trashed a rear carbon fiber wheel. I no longer leave my bikes and dogs together when I leave home.

When I was a kid my dog destroyed my collection of model rockets.

Wow...
My dog destroyed the throw pillows on my couch, and I've had two friends whose dogs ate their brand new sofas, but I've never seen a bike become a chew toy.

I'm glad my dog is not a chewer. She only chews her antler. We can't even get her to chew her dental toy. She just licks it, which is hilarious as it's vaguely phallic shaped.
