I agree. I don't know how to feel about being considered frugal. I do feel that all of my money is going into the house. It could be a total money pit, but a man's gotta live somewhere.
I do really like the bike and I'll give it a service once it warms up slightly. Just remove the rear wheel and de-grease the cog and maybe lube/replace the chain.

You should feel smart, because frugal is smart.
But if you don't plan to repack your bearings ever, you're not truly frugal. You should do it every year or two, as it avoids more expensive repairs.

Congrats on the house. Nice to have something to store your bikes and a place to call your own.
As for painting, I would wait at least a year. Power wash the outside and add a few flowers to give it colour. Spend your money on the inside first.

Love those wood floors. Our house in KS had all original wood flooring (that the previous owners covered in shag carpet, WTF?!?)
We just bought a house as well. I only had 2 criteria: 3+ car garage, and within 5 miles of one of the base gates (I commute to work on a military base).
Still have one stall of the garage full of boxes, but it's getting there.
There's also a 24 x 18 workshop out back.
You'll really enjoy being able to work inside.

Make sure you secure the bikes...Things get stolen off of porches all the time.
After 13 years of storing my bikes IN the house, this past year we bought a place with an oversized two car garage...And we only have one car. The rest of the space is for bikes, workbench, tools, futon, 'fridge...It's boss, baby.
PS: Just looked at the photo. That's a nice old bungalow. Good wood in there. Those awnings were probably not original -- pull those off and it'll really open the place up. Also, the porch was probably not originally enclosed, but that sounds like a useful addition for you. Check Sherwin-Williams for paint - they have a collection of period-correct color combos for Bungalows or Craftsman houses.
