Sram X5 on X7 shifter?
hi guys, just a quick questions. I have a Norco Charger that currently running Sram X7 2x10. Went riding last week and unfortunately crashed on a jump and destroyed my rear derailleur. I have this x5 10 speed derailleur from my bike that was sold a year back and I'm wondering can I just replace the x7 derailleur with the x5 but still using the shifter from the x7?. (Trying to save money for a new full suspension)
Thank you
Thank you

Hmm, may not work. I don't have higher end SRAM on my bikes but do know there is a difference between Exact Actuation and 1:1. I run an X5 medium cage on a 2x8 commuter with 1:1 Grip Shift. I found one source with a quick search that mentioned X7 shifters are Exact Actuation.

What difference do you find between 1:1 & "exact"?
