Brooks C19 saddle

Anybody got this seat. Interested in the all weather cambium to replace my stock “cup” seat on my Roll, but wondering if it is durable and if I should get the leather version instead.

I’m 300+ lbs hence why I prefer this wider seat over the C17. Feedback is much appreciated.

I have never tried a Brooks but they do have a great reputation, I’d try the C19 myself if I had the coin laying around. Having said that, I really like my Selle Anatomica H1. It is the Clydesdale model so to speak. They are working on a rubber model but have had some setbacks on the rubber materials not being up to snuff. Latest blog says that has been resolved and they are close to realasing it. I’m 250 lbs and put the H1 on my Roll.

I tried the C19 mainly for the waterproof feature, but found it too stiff and narrow for me and my Roll. I switched back to the B67.

The Cabium saddles have serious roll-off at the edges. I tried a C17 and disliked it for that reason, it rode very small for a mid-size saddle. I think I would nix the C19 for the same reason. Butts are different, but I would be sure you have a decent return policy.

Thanks for all of the feedback. I’ll take a look at the B67. Hope the leather is durable enough for my 300+ weight.

There is a bike shop about an hour from me that has a number of different Brooks saddle samples available for demo. I'm sure others offer this service as well.

Was 265, now down to 235 and I really like my c19 and c17. Comfy enough and weather proof.
