Jeunet Franche-Comte mixte - worth the price?

This looks lovely to me, but the seller says it's 57cm - it looks smaller to me. What do you think? I don't really know anything about these bikes. Are they any good?

Pretty bike. Jeunet made a nice bike. Lots of chrome. Maybe worth a third of asking price. Rear wheel has a massive flat spot, its toast. So really its its an $80 bike at best.

I would agree that the price is high and the wheels are likely toast also low end none original crank, derailuers, bars brake levers and seat that don' really go with the bike. For me even in covid country if ii rides nice and everything works good , only $150 bike . As presented on cl I would say pass even in the tough market one can do a lot better in the $300-500 price range.

I'd almost rather have the Universel chainset it came with over that funky melt-forged thing they put on.

And OH THOSE PEDALS! They look like Wellgo or Cecor - pure junque.

At least they upgraded the gear mechs.

I usually go to Dole for fruit rather than cycles.

Tough crowd! Also, just the sort of thing I was hoping to learn. Much appreciated. I love
those chrome forks, but the whole bike also matters!
