It's a Cartier bicycle! And what's better for the iconic French luxury marque than a hi-ten mixte with a knockoff Shimano Tourney derailleur???
https://seattle.craigslist.org/est/b...162867685.html
In all seriousness, I'm wondering about what this thing actually is. The fork seems a bit elaborate to be someone's mock-up- I'm wondering if this was some kind of promotional item, but I can't find references to a Cartier-branded bike anywhere- and Cartier is a very well-known, well-researched company.

edit: wow, that bike really is junk, stamped steel chainrings, ashtabula crank, stamped steel pedals, crappy sidepulls, pretty much the cheapest of everything circa mid 70s.

They were so open about what's wrong with it that I thought they were trolling when I saw it a few days ago

But they're back at it with a more "serious" post:

I know about Viscount/Lamberts and Teledyne Titans but a pre-bent fork is definitely a creative use of the term "Death Fork", you have to admit.

Skip link chains and wood rims took a bit to die out on track bikes, IIRC.

Pre-War1930's Bike ORIGINAL DRI-MARK Water Transfer ROLLFAST DEALER Door Decal
Item Information
Condition:Used“Original older piece”
Price:
US $125.00
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Pre-War1930...EAAOSwkXlfCOUe
____________________________________________________________________________________________________ _________________________
Not Prewar, the decal is dated 12-68
Not a water slide, I guess they can't read the peel and stick instructions in their own picture
$125??
I remember one local bike shop putting one of these up on his front door glass around the time of the first moon landing. I had just gotten my first 10 speed and the shop owner was putting that decal on the front door as we all stood there and watched the broadcast of the moon landing on a little TV the guy had up in the corner of the shop. It was just about closing time but we hung out there watching the TV that day long after they locked up and turned off the sign. The shop owner handed me one of those decals as we left, plus a couple of Peugeot window decals. I think I still have them somewhere. The bike is long gone, pounded into the ground by an 10 year old and every relative I handed it down to after about 5 years.

^^^^ Hm, should someone message the seller and point out that the address on the back of the decal has a ZIP code?

It's not really outrageous, but people who want to buy low-pros have to be a really limited market.
Also I'm concerned about the front wheel/tire also getting harder to find.

That looks like a decent price for the Blackburn front rack. Anyone in Eugene willing to pick it up for me?

The Drive Side is Within
The circle is mine. Dude selling a crashed AL frame with a huge crack, no mention, listed as good condition.
I wrote to the guy and he was condescending as hell. Marked it as sold after some discussion, claims he has a buyer.
I don’t think there is an ethical way to send this frame out into the marketplace, am I wrong?

This sorta fits...
With the color thing...
Is this the original paint? It kinda looks like it is. If anyone cares, bike is in NJ on FBM, $125
Decent color pairing, worst layout ever. Maybe the seat cluster area was blue?

Fastest bike in the world, for sale...
Claim seems a little far-fetched...
Seems screamingly unlikely.
Oh, that's the missing piece. Wonder if the fairing comes with it?
Apparently John Howard set a record in '89 in this, and others did too, more recently. So there is a grain of truth to the claim, he just forgot the rest of the beach.

Help, I'm stuck on New Jersey FBM. If I don't shut it off soon I will become clinically brain dead...
The funny part? It is a single speed...What's with the black electricians tape on the bars? DIY 007 rocket assist?
Removed the shifters, cables and FD for asthetic reasons...

Wonder what the model of that one is. Aerox crank probably would be one of their high end ones. I think that frame sticker style was from the double-butted Miyata tubing period.
Silly but could be worth a rescue.

What is a lenti? no googling.
The post before this one (and still up) claims bike is worth $1000 but letting go for less ($300).
Now claims bike is worth 900 lenti, offered at $200. and continues Go f... (Stream of consciousness writing, perhaps)?
Bike is actually kinda cool looking,
I'm going to pretend my battery died.

unless i'm mistaken, that's a Linus and would be about as "antique" as a Public/Pure/etc. $900 would be the approximate MSRP for one of their city bikes.
Not a bad looking bike, though.
