fuji royale headset
Posting this for posterity, as I couldn't find the correct info before pulling the trigger.
My early 80s Fuji Royale needs a new headset. Looking at the VO stuff, I wasn't sure if I needed ISO or JIS. Ordered ISO figuring 90% likelihood of a match. But popping the race off the fork, the fork crown measures 1.062", or 27MM, which is the JIS standard.
So, for the next guy who's trying to order the correct part before disassembling the bike, go for the JIS (27mm fork crown race) headset for an early 80s Fuji Royale.
