The Gan Sport gets the most "nice bike" comments from strangers.

Very nice, even if someone drew'ed the "r" out of the name Mine looks much like that, the less common blue w/white instead of the reverse, but with a different saddle and without fenders

What hubs are those?

Nuovo Record hubs with Velo Orange rims. The front Weinmann caliper just barely reaches.

Thanks Wino.

I really tried to use whatever "artistic" abilities I had and just have some fun with this one. The multi-colored, Colnago Master-like paint job lent itself to some artistic license, hence all of the yellow accents. It's my first build and I'm really happy with her. Got the frame at a nice price, but in the end, I definitely overspent on it with the Campy bits. Oh well, it 's a nice, comfortable rider...

This one by far! That might also be due to the venues I ride it to.

Definitely this one.. cyclists in the know ask me wtf it is, and regular people often shout out "I like your bike!" as I pass.

This is a great thread, in part because it's not the usual whining about "Why don't roadies like my bike and wave to me?" (Answer -- It's not because of your bike.)

Generally, I find that my C&V bikes from well known manufacturers get attention -- Pinarello, Land Shark, Bianchi (in celeste). But the ones that get the most attention are my 89 Haro Extreme, 98 Litespeed Ultimate and my 2008 Schwinn Madison. Shiny goes a long ways. And people think the Madison is vintage.

Gios vs Kestrel

Today I took out my Gios Torino Professional, which I normally have hanging on my bike rack in the bike/computer room. Got quick a few comments, even from riders half my age on CF bikes. Most will ask, what kind of brakes are those? Of course I have to answer Campagnolo Delta's, and the second usual response, nice bike, and their gone. Others' on mtb, touring, fixie and road bikes take triple turns and shout out beautiful bike!

If I took out the Gios Pro more often, it probably will get greater attention then my Kestrel 4000.

This beast, our Miyata Trail Runner.

It now has a nice Tioga stem and Salsa Woodchippers.

I'll update the pic next time we are up at the cabin.

This is my most recent adoption and seems to be generating comments at the local Starbucks and LBS. It is a restored mid 1930's Raleigh DL-1.

Yeah, I can see why, that thing's AN ANTIQUE.

Looks like a fine resto effort, throughout.

This is not my bike, but it's the same model just a few dressed up items are different on mine. Anyway this bike gets more attention then any of my bikes including the new Lynskey:

My bike has a black B17 saddle, black leather bar tape, the cages are silver with an added matching cage on the bottom side of the down tube, Lezyne Pressure Drive gold colored pump, a Tubus rack though I have the original rack, and I removed the kickstand.

I get people commenting all the time about this bike, not sure why. I forgot to mention, this bike pic'd and mine is a 85 Schwinn Le Tour Luxe, mines in mint condition as does this one appears to be.

Usually women comment: I love the blue and the parts are so shiny. I put the Veloflex tires on about a month ago. Very nice and worth every penny
