Giant vs GT
Hello,
Im considering purchasing one of the following used mountain bikes.
GT talera 4.0 hybrid bike
or
Giant escape mountain bike
They are the same price at $450
What do you think? Thanks

I thought the MSRP for those bikes was $450 or less new.

I don’t know enough about the GT other than the Talera 4.0 was sold at Dick’s Sporting Goods. It seems that the Talera and Tanesco may be the same, but I don’t know. Either way I can’t see how it could be an $800 bike. I’d be leery of it.
If you get the year for the Escape and the model, you can look up the price and specs.

Looks like there are several Escape models to choose from, for about the same cost.

Not sure why you would buy used when new, from LBS, would come with a few perks. My LBS gives free adjustments and basic service for the first year.
