Will 28c or 25c fit my 700c 622x19 rim size?
I have specialized sirrus hybrid(dont know the make year since i bought it used)
The rimsize written on the rims says 700c 622x19(felt) and the tyre is 700x32c.I want to change my tyres to increase its pace so im planning to go for 25-28c tyres.Do i have to change the rims as well or the ones installed will work fine with with 28c and 25c???

Yes, you can use the smaller tires on your current rims. FWIW, your assumption they will be faster is subject to debate.

They fit the rim fine but will they clear the frame stays? That is the question.

For best aero I think you want to match or come close to the rim outside rim width. A 23mm Conti GP5000 will measure about 26 to 27 mm wide on a 19 mm rim. A 25mm GP5000 will be slightly less than 28mm.

You are confusing GP4k and GP5k. GP4k was the tire that ballooned out to basically the next size up.

Not my experience with GP5K either. My 4K 25s measured almost 28mm but I had read the 5K were true to size. Just to be safe I ordered pairs in both sizes. The 25s were 25mm and the 28s were 28mm. 23mm external width wheels. Maybe some do balloon, anything is possible, but you can't count on it like you could with the 4K.

No. The GP5k tires I have on now balloon. This is the third set. The first set ballooned more. I was trying but did not like the fit 25mm tires on my Madone 5.0 with Aeroles wheels with 19.5mm inside width. Went back to 23mm. The first set of 23s were wider than the current set of 23s. Wish when replaced my worn out OEM wheels I’d had paid attention and gotten narrower wheels.

Huh. That is interesting as its different from most every review ive seen on multiple sizes of 5k. A family bike has some 5k 28s on probably 13.5(guess) internal rims and they were just under 28 when first inflated. Thats my very limited hands on experience.

Thanks for the info guys,I was planning to get cheap Chinese tyres since I've read all the comments it means I'll have to get good tyres to get more pace cheaper tyres would mean I'll have the same slower pace(I'm assuming by the comments I've read),28c tyres cost 5$/pair and 25c cost around 12$/pair but I've friends using these 5$ tyres and they get good pace
