Lone dissenter here. I just nominated these pants for my Dumbest Product of the Week: https://austinbikeblog.org/?p=915.

I don't find them particularly fashionable, and they're not useful enough to overcome their tremendous Fred factor.

I'd totally wear them. First of all, at night it's dark and I don't think anyone driving by you would be concerned with your pants leg being rolled up. And why would you care? Second, when you get where you're going, just flip them down and you're just wearing standard looking khakis. So I don't really see how they are all that fredilicious.

I'd rather steal the idea, use pants I normally wear or already own, and have someone sew a strip to the cuff.

So I'm gonna spend 95 bucks on pants that are less visible than a cheap reflective vest and cuff straps?
I don't think so.

Kinda alright with these as a concept for 'fancy' commuters but then I saw the pull out pockets.

I remembered waaay too many bunny/pocket jokes from jr. High...

Either am I. But then again I wouldn't buy a reflective vest, either.
But if I was going buy a set of knickers or other riding specific pants that are equally priced, I would have to consider these too.
You could also spend $150 or more on a plain old pair of jeans at the mall if you wanted to. Makes these look like a steal.

Nice pants, but I prefer my regular pants with Velcro reflective straps at the bottom and a flashing light on my seatpost. 95$ is a decent price though.

I was thinking the same thing. It wouldn't take much to stitch in some reflective stripes on the inside of the cuff on my regular pants. And considering I'll be rolling up at least the one leg it makes it really tempting. Maybe I'll make my grandma proud and dust off the sewing machine she gave me

I normally cuff my pants away way(just one cuff, Like it more, & so i don't step on them) so that's kind of a bad idea for someone like me.

Not a bad idea though.

Might apply the idea in my own way.

Ninety-five bucks!? Sewing is not that hard, people. Really. It would take about ten minutes to sew those into a normal pair of pants by hand, maybe two minutes with a sewing machine.

For that matter, instead of ruining a good pair of pants by putting a seam around the calf at the roll-up height, roll up your pants and secure them around your calves with reflective velcro stripping. Requires no modification to your clothing, and costs about $2.

Yea, really $95...that sure wouldn't sell around here.
I'll stick with reflective cuff straps ($6) and I bet I can get them off and be ready to go faster then this guy can roll down his pant legs.
