Nice ride! What type of rear rack is that, and has it been modified?

Thanks! The rear rack is an Axiom Streamliner Disc DLX. I removed the feet extensions since I don't currently have disc brakes so didn't need the clearance. Only other mod I made was to drill a couple extra holes in the reflector plate to attach my B&M Toplight View. Front rack, for anyone interested, is Velo-Orange's porteur rack. Very useful for carrying a case of beer!

The bag is made of good waterpoof material. I have no issue with my items getting wet while riding in the rain. However, I do not like the hook and attachment system. The bag will come off the rack with a hard bump on the road. I like the material but hate the attachment system. I just got a set of ortliebs to replace these nashbar bags.

@909tr1 thanks I had heard that about them but wanted to get firsthand experience. It is really tempting with the price of them, but I guess I will save for some Ortliebs.

Hey, what version of the SKS fenders do you run on your misceo? I have a 2014 with 700x40c tires and I was wondering if you think them fenders would fit on mine

First post. Here's mine:

2013 Trek DS 8.5
Topeak Explorer Tubular Rack
Topeak MTX Trunk Bag EXP
Portland Design Works Danger Zone rear tail light
Regular Generic LED headlight
Arduro U-Grip smartphone mount

This baby is a commuting machine. I feel bad that my commute is only 3.5 miles each way. It feels so good to ride that Im going to find a longer route to work. I'm in the military in Hawaii (Oahu) and the Topeka MTX trunk bag holds my full uniform (combat boots-size 13, working uniform, cover, undershirt, socks) adding an additional 13 pounds......yet this rig just keeps on trucking. Perfect bike for crappy Oahu roads. Love this bike.

Such a great forum, BTW. So glad I found it. Cheers.

I have the Blumels / Commuter II's in 700 x 38-47 and yes, 40mm tires would fit on mine easily. I will probably go to 40's at some point. Can you post a pic of your Raleigh?

Bike and Brew tour

There's about 7 folks that commute semi-regularly in my office. 4 of us decided to do a Bike and Brew tour after work yesterday. We visited 4 breweries and 1 beer bar, with about 25 miles of riding total. Good times...anyhow, here's a pic of my commuter at the Barrio Brewery:

Ha!

Didn't even notice about the fork. Unfortunately, I have to loosen the handle bars and turn them sideways due to tight storage quarters. I brought it out to wash it when I took the picture and the front wheel swung around on me and I didn't notice when I straightened the handle bars. Fortunately, I didn't make that mistake when I rode it this week.

I really need to find a better storage solution.

^ that is going to get really old having to redo that every time you store it. No other option?

you'd be better dropping the wheel out rather than loosening the handle bars.

I went to a Niner demo at my LBS, the guy from Niner was loosening the stem and rotating the bars every time he got a bike back from demo and put it on the rack. I thought that was weird, he had to pretension&straighten each bike when it went back out, in addition to customizing the suspension and installing pedals.

Here's mine: 1989 C-dale SM2000 I have no idea but I'm pretty sure the cranks, derailleurs, stem, shifters, brakes, and levers are the original parts. Maybe wheels too. Bars are for sure new. Rack is crusty

Excellent! That Cannondale was my first real MTB! I put a Manitou 2 shock on it and rode it like crazy. I think my sister may still have it in her garage.
