As some may know my Miami Vice has been on display at my local COOP that i am involved with. a couple weeks ago they decided that the bikes on display really needed a display tag. i really liked the one they made for my MV.

^^^^^ Except for the millennials who come into the co-op, read the sign, and ask "Who's Don Johnson?"

In other news, I did not like the way the Turbo looked with black rims. Thought I would, but I like it with shiny ones more. I also did not like the Suntour barcons compared to the Shimano L600s. So, I ordered in some different stuff. Still waiting on the spokes and another set of L600s.

Cherry 2000. I believe she was quite young, if not under age, when she became the missus of Mr. Miami Vice.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Flesh Gordon
Death Race 2000
The Perils Of Gwendoline in the Land of the Yik Yak
The Further Adventures of Tennessee Buck
and many others. In a true twist of irony, North Texas and the DFW/Fort Worth Metroplex always had a special place in it's heart for the Rocky Horror Picture Show experience.
My son will be 18 in June. I need to find the Porky's trilogy and give it another viewing. They just can't make movies like that any more.
I have Big Trouble In Little China, Streets of Fire & The Warriors on disc. He's already seen those. Great movies like that need to be watched, not forgotten. If Tom Cody road a bike, it would be an Ironman.

^^^Yeah, I don't know what that means either.
However, I do remember the midnight movies. It was sponsored by our local radio station Waco 100 with the call letters actually W-A-C-O (I think its the only radio station in the country with the same call letters as the town it's in ). The admission price was 1 dollar. Anyways, man I was a teenager and hung around with my cousin if I wasn't with a girlfriend. One time he decided to pay with pennies, 99 pennies to be Exact. So the girl starts counting and it's short a penny, she says don't worry about it But he says I know it's 100 count again. So she starts counting again....I couldn't take anymore so I threw her a penny. My cousin could talk Me in to anything including jokes like that. I don't know how he had my number but man the things I did cause he thought it was a good joke. Man I gotta give him a call.

The standard is that the "W" radio stations are east of the Mississipi and the "K" stations are west. However, the Mississippi River wasn't always the standard line for east-west divide. Previously, it was the state boarders from the Great Lakes to the Texas/New Mexico boarder. I believe established stations that continue to run still continue with their old naming convention, dating back to pre-1923. This is standard, except for a K that is notable because it's in Pittsburgh (KDKA). there are a couple of three-letter call signs West of the Mississippi that start with K. WACO is also one of three stations where the call sign is also the city/town where the station is located. The other two are WARE (Ware, Ma) and WISE (Wise, Va). There are several three-letter call signs that do not follow the K/W division.
And that, folks, is $45k in college loans in a nutshell...

Sundays on a oldies station here in town they rebroadcast a Casey Kasem top 40 from first the '70s then the '80s. I'm usually not up in time to listen to the '70s but enjoy listening to the '80s on my longer bike rides. It's a cool concept, the play the same weekend top 40 from a given year in that decade. I rather like the mid to late '80s and early to mid '70s. Anywho, I'm pretty sure that's where I heard Waco has the same call letter radio station. In fact those top 40 rebroadcast is where I get most of my pop music trivia(l) answers.

Hot! It makes me think of this song. A Texas classic if there ever was one.
Maybe when the kids are out of the house the singing will begin again. They don't want to hear it.

I'm kind of partial to this version of Powerful Stuff. That mullet Kim is wearing might be the worst of all time.
