Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

My local shop is busy as can be. I guess people are biking more with fewer recreation options available. They have a $50 minimum for service work.

That's a good deal. My local bike shop would've charged, at the minimum, $100 to do something like that. They've since closed. Good riddance.

I'm not a brake aficionado. The general or mechanics forum might be able to help more.

Info you will need is whether they are road (caliper) or mounts for V-brakes or Cantilever.

For Caliper you will need the distance from the fork mounting hole to the rim (converted to mm), then buy the correct "reach" for the fork & brake stay in the rear.

Also you need to match the brake lever pull distance to the type of brake.

Good luck!
