Different stanchion color in Fox
I bought a new Canyon Grand Canyon AL SL 8.0 which has a Fox Rhythm 34 fork. Everything seems OK and so far I've only ridden it on the streets around my flat for 15 minutes.
I rode the bike down some stairs to test the dropper post and the fork and everything seemed to work OK, but when I arrived home I noticed the left (air stanchion) had a slightly different appearance than the right one. I wiped them clean and they appeared identical or almost identical, but as soon as I compress the fork, the right stanchion comes up with a "cloudy" appearance (like the dirty appearance something shiny gets when you touch it with your fingers), while the left one comes out really shiny, like if it has a really thin oily coat on it.
I've had some oil "film" covering stanchions on new or recently serviced forks previously, so its not worrying me as its not anything like a leak, but it surprises me to see it only on one stanchion.
Is this normal on this fork? Or is it possible that the right side is dry?
